Oozes class !
You just can’t go wrong with a Dandy Man - especially a Dandy Man FILLY (most of his best progeny have been fillies) - particularly if they’re out of a mare who has already produced a full brother rated 104. We’d most certainly hope that with Richard Hannon and his team at the helm for this filly, that she could turn out to be a TOP CLASS 2yo performer for 2025 and even beyond.
Her sire, DANDY MAN sadly died in December and was one of the most prolific sources of naturally speedy & high quality 2yo’s. The likes of our very own black type winner Ventura Diamond, plus Group 1 winners River Boyne, Peniaphobia, La Pelosa, Group 3 winner Happy Romance and Dandalla to name but a few. Our filly has a really good size and scope to her but carries it with aplomb and moves like a dream. She has the perfect combo of quality of individual and quality of movement - there’s no compromise about her. She flew through the vetting and wind test processes and we were very determined to secure her - £68,000 plus the sales’ cost add ons, meant we had to dig deep, however that middle market of £40,000-£75,000 has served us so well recently in acquiring top class performers like the £40,000 for Shouldvebeenaring from this sale, £57,000 The Platinum Queen and £65,000 for The Strikin Viking.
Our fillly’s most likely distances of ground will be 5f and 6f, she should be ready to rock’n’roll by April or May 2025, hopefully just in time for Royal Ascot - we very much hope she’ll be in that sort of quality bracket.

Furthermore, she could easily prove the perfect ticket for Harry’s Half Million, which carried over £600,000 in prize money - £308,000 to the winner - in 2024. Richard Hannon has won the equivalent race 5 times in the last 9 years. Ourselves, we’ve finished 1st and 2nd in two of the last 3 years and our Richard Hannon charge, An Outlaw’s Grace, an £80,000 acquisition from this sale last year, went off 2nd fav for Harry’s Half Million this year, following his 4th and 5th placings in the Group 2 Prix Robert Papin and Vintage Stakes respectively. She qualifies for a €10,000 'IRE' bonus, should she win a qualifying maiden or novice Stakes race in 2025. You can read more about how it works, here: https://www.itm.ie/Buying/Sales-Incentives/IRE-Incentive
Fingers crossed this fabulous filly, who oozes class, will be frequenting plenty of festival heights for 2025 & 2026.
Training Update (November): She has moved to Richard Hannon's this week and is learning the ropes down in Wiltshire. She has settled in really well and enjoying her new daily routine.
