Mashaan has been operating in fantastic form this winter, having been placed or won his last 7 starts. The now 7-year-old was quickly away from the stalls in the 9-runner field and settled just behind the leading pair. Travelling strongly in the hands of Kieran O’Neill, he stormed clear in the home straight and wasn't for catching to win by an impressive 3 ¾ lengths.
Fantastic to see our 7-year-old in such great form. a credit to Alice and all her team at home.

Timeform rated his victory with a p68: "Produced an effort that is hard to explain judged on anything he's done over the last couple of seasons, this as good as anything he's done since 2022, settling better than has been the case of late up with the strong pace; chased leader, went with zest, ridden home turn, led early in straight, drew clear, kept up to work; the concern is that he faced the perfect storm here and isn't sure to be in the same form next time."
