How Impressive Again
Fri 25 Oct 2024
Winner 85 of 2024: HOW IMPRESSIVE, trained by Hugo Palmer and ridden by Joe Leavy (3). ‘Best Racing Odds Guaranteed At BetMGM Handicap’ over 7f at Southwell.
How Impressive was that? Another back-to-back win for our genuine and beloved chestnut. From Lingfield to Kempton in February – he followed up his Chelmsford win with a ready success under a great front-running ride from Joe Leavy at Southwell. The pair broke smartly and disputed the lead from stall 1, before kicking clear when turning for home to stay on strongly and win by 1 ¾ lengths. Another game performance by the 5-year-old, who has taken his record to 7 victories.

Timeform rated his back to back victory with a t93, saying: "Was racing from the same mark he won off over C&D back in the spring, thanks to a 5 Ib penalty, and followed up his Chelmsford success last time in good style from the front; made all, ridden over 1f out, won readily; will continue to give a good account in this kind of form."
A very delighted Syndicate Manager Tom Palin: "Congratulations on another brilliant victory, putting in a career best there on Thursday and taking his win tally to 7 in total. To be honest, there wasn’t really a time that you were panicking, always travelling comfortably and he extended comfortably inside the final furlong to record back to back victories."
