BIOGRAPHY: Purchased from the Goffs Premier Yearling Sale, where we purchased our Group 1 winner and Champion European 2yo 2013; TOORMORE, Group 2 winner VENTURA TORMENTA, dual Group 2 winner KOOL KOMPANY and last seasons Group 1 performer SHOULDVEBEENARING (£40,000)
A firm candidate for the best trainer of 2yo fillies in Great Britain, is Karl Burke and his Spigot Lodge team. Our own Listed Marygate Winner at York in May & Queen Mary 6th, GOT TO LOVE A GREY shone last year. There’s simply no better place to send a fast, precocious 2yo filly, than to Karl’s Middleham based yard.
By the world class stallion ACCLAMATION, this filly oozes class. She moves like a dream and hails from a heavily black type laden pedigree. To date, the speedily bred ARCANO mare ARCHANGE (herself a dual 2yo winner) has produced very talented, winning performers by stallions who simply wouldn’t hold a candle to the feats achieved by sons and daughters of Acclamation - such as the likes of Mehmas, Dark Angel, Marsha, Equiano, Queen Catrine, Expert Eye etc etc, to name but a few. A visit to Acclamation, represents a severe upgrade for the mare, and she’s already produced a 93 rated performer.

She qualifies for the ‘Harry’s Half Million’ Sales race, to be held at the York Ebor meeting 2024. In 2022 we won the equivalent sales race with SHOULDVEBEENARING (an £40,000 purchase) and this year, 2023, we finished 2nd with ZIGGY’S CONDOR (a £62,000 purchase). Transposed to next year’s race, those performances would net owners £245,000 and £98,000 respectively. With a Sales’ hammer price of £68,000, this beautiful and loose moving filly, with a fast pedigree to die for, looks just the ticket, and could prove to represent exceptional value, this time next year. A visit to the Marygate winners’ enclosure or to Royal Ascot, would come as very little surprise for this filly and her owners.
The dream starts here!
Pedigree update: 'Half sister: Ciotola (IRE) (21 f. by Buratino (IRE)): placed twice at 2, 2023 in France.'
