Race entries

This colt is by the Group 1 Prix Morny & Middle Park winning, first season sire EARTHLIGHT, whose first runners have come out strong - he currently has a 30% winners to runners strike rate, which is pretty good going!

See his walk and profile, here:

We felt this colt put up one of the most amazing breezes, on the day, of the 251-horse cohort. He finished joint 8th overall in the race, around a length behind the €370,000 sale topper, however we felt his breeze was seemingly so effortless, with his rider simply feeding him the reigns to maintain momentum, that there was definitely plenty more to give, were his rider to have asked for even more. Clearly, his pilot decided to keep him going forward, fluently and efficiently, within his comfort zone, rather than risking going for broke, on an inexperienced horse that could have unbalanced him and detracted from his momentum - it was probably a wise decision, however there could well be untapped potential there, as yet unseen, as a result.

Almost every horse in the race, was given a slap down the shoulder and ridden more vigorously that this fellow, so he’s almost been operating, in the breeze, at a disadvantage, to an extent, compared with those who finished ahead of him. It’d be impossible to be sure he’d have won the race, but the length he’d have needed to find, to usurp all others, is not outside the realms of his ability, we’d assert.

Watch his breeze, here:

He looks exceptional value at the €70,000 we’ve had to stretch to, given both his actual finishing position and his possible finishing position. He’s ready to crack on with, having passed the veterinary inspection before we bid and he qualifies for Band C & D races from his yearling price tag of €40,000. He also qualifies for the €10,000 'IREIncentive bonus'

A really exciting addition to the MPR 2yo ranks, and he joins the team who have already finished 4th in the listed Marygate Stakes at York, on debut, courtesy of, fellow breeze up recruit, GLORIOUS KITTY, her, having cost £68,000 around 5 weeks ago.

Training update (10th July): His new racing name Keats House, now confirmed! After a few easy weeks due to a sore shin, he is back galloping (Video below). David is very happy with him, he is moving great and it shouldn't be long before he is ready for entries. Find Video Updates from David belowHis race entries/declarations will show on this page.
