Wedding Date wins the feature at HQ

We have had a great week, with 6 winners and 7 second places from 26 runners, taking us to 35 winners this year. Plus of course the simply marvellous spectacle of Royal Ascot, with four runners (read more about that in our next news story!)

Yesterday the very tough filly WEDDING DATE, won the feature Class 2 at Newmarket. It was a fabulous ride by Apprentice jockey Thore Hammer Hansen and saw her win for the fourth time. She earned another £12,900 for her owners and has an entry in the £50k Gosforth Park Cup, where she will head next (if she gets into the race.)

WAARIF ran a cracker of a race from a wide draw, to take 2nd at Ayr for David O'Meara, also in a Class 2. This tipped his lifetime prize money to over £100k and this upcoming week, we are reminded of his win in racing's most historic race The Carlisle Bell this time last year! We have 3 entries in this year's renewal, which takes place on Wednesday.
