TIGRE DU TERRE wins on debut and causes a stir at Ascot
Sat 15 Jul 2017
A pleasing couple of days at Ascot for the team; with JOE'S SPIRIT taking 3rd on the Friday and LEXINGTON ABBEY placing 4th in the totescoop 6 Heritage Handicap on Saturday.
The standout performance, that caused the Racing Post to comment "Impressive debut" against the race result, was from TIGRE DU TERRE. The Richard Hannon trained 2 year old simply glided past the field, under hands and heels from Martin Harley, to win by 4.5 lengths. "He's a Group horse" Tim told reporters, "it's just a case of which number Group! We'll think about either the Washington Singer at Newbury (Listed) or the Group 3 Acomb Stakes at York as targets for him."
Many congratulations to his owners, who had a marvellous day at Ascot (as you can see from the attached photos!)
