Sweet Celebration routs the field!

Well that was a fabulous performance by the Marco Botti trained SWEET CELEBRATION at Kempton last evening! She really deserved that win, after placing 2nd three times this year. 

Having started her 3 year old campaign over 7 furlongs this year, the gradual step up in trip to 1m 4f has shown her ability over a trip. Yesterday's race worked out really well for her, as her jockey Stefano Cherchi was able to sit well off the pace which looked quite strong (it was the fastest of the meeting), although having said that, the 2nd horse was well up with the pace throughout. 

When he asked her to quicken, she swooped down the outside and pulled away by a phenomenal 8 lengths! Marco reports that she is fine today and she may well receive a hefty rise in the weights, so we'll see if there is a race that might suit to get her out once more.

Well done to her owners and hopefully there are plenty more wins to come!

We also saw a cracking run by ONE HART, making his tapeta debut at Wolverhampton. PJ McDonald got him out and to the front in the 7f race and tried to make all, but they just got caught on the line by a fast finisher and went down by a short head. A great run under top weight, his owners were delighted with his performance.
