WINNER 28 OF 2023: RAINBOW FIRE, trained by Marco Botti and ridden by Neil Callan: The feature Class 2 'Join Racing TV Now Handicap' over 7f at Haydock.
Bought for 35,000gns at the Tattersalls July HIT sale, Rainbow Fire has already won and been 2nd in his 2 runs for us and lined up here in the feature £60,000 race on the Haydock card, with NeilCallan back in the saddle.
Drawn wide in 9, Neil managed to get him across to settle into the first half of the 11 runners. Inside the 3 furlong marker, things started to heat up and Neil asked him for his effort on the outer. He chased the leaders and made good headway. Keeping on well, he led inside the final furlong and was ridden out to win by 1 and a 1/2 lengths.

Timeform rated it as a super career best 107+, saying: "Was back on turf and went one better than last time, paying some compliment to Kingdom Come who beat him so readily at Kempton but is no doubt going the right way himself; mid-field, went with enthusiasm, pushed along over 2f out, led final 100 yds, well on top finish; he's creeping up the handicap but looks sure to go well again.”
Sadly there was no interview with Neil on Racing TV, but at the end of their coverage in the round up of the day discussion, they said: "He's done very well - a good acquisition, now two from three and he with a strong run on the outside. He looks a progressive horse.”
The Racing Post reported: 'Rainbow shines' 'Rainbow Fire took his record to 2-3 since joining Marco Botti when landing the feature 7f handicap. The five-year-old won at Newbury on his first start for the yard and finished second at Kempton last time but won well by a length and a half'

WINNER 29 OF 2023: ZIGGY'S DREAM, trained by Alice Haynes and ridden by Thore Hammer Hansen: The 'Download The At The Races App EBF Maiden Stakes ' over 5f at Doncaster.
A recent private purchase from Aguiar Bloodstock, she is a filly by first season sire Inns Of Court. With a few entries for her debut, Alice decided to declare her for this Maiden. There were 8 originally in the field, but 3 coming out was a result of the softening ground.
She behaved well in the preliminaries, but as the stalls were loaded and just before the gates opened she decided to rear up. Luckily they opened on her way down and she broke well. She has a super head carriage and bowled along in front. Pressed for the lead at the 2 furlong marker, Thore gave her the shake up and she kept on well, winning going away, by 1 and 3/4 lengths.

Timeform rated it as a 74 debut, saying: "Largely knew her job as she justified support first time out; led, effort under 2f out, asserted final 1f; open to improvement.”

She was the first winner of freshman sire INNS OF COURT. Read the story, here: https://www.racingpost.com/bloodstock/court-in-session-as-tally-ho-sire-registers-first-winner-aTS2j4q1YzJF/
Syndicate manager of both horses, Tim says: "Well done to both sets of owners, it was another good day at the office! Rainbow Fire has paid for himself with that win - he is a smart son of Kodiac and we should have some fun with him this year. Ziggy's Dream was very professional and looked comfortable in the run. She is our third 2 year old winner, two having been on debut, so we are very happy with our purchasing all round! She looks like she will be effective at 6f the way she pulled away through the line, so I will speak to Alice to make a plan for her season. ”
