Magical to be a Racing Post Saturday 'Star Performer'
Sun 16 Aug 2020
Our 40th Winner of the year: MAGICAL WISH trained by Richard Hannon and ridden by PJ McDonald: The feature Class 2 Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Handicap over 7f at Doncaster.
We said in our write up about Revich winning at Chester yesterday, that he was a fun horse for his syndicate, well we seem to have another one, in yesterday's winner Magical Wish! Hold on, we are a racehorse syndication business, so we have no apologies in repeating ourselves with a glowing report about how much fun owners have had with this horse since we bought him as a yearling!
Watching him in the race yesterday, with ears pricked most of the way, leading from start to finish was a joy. He is so tough and was not for passing.
PJ was pleased!
He was made the Racing Post 'Star Performer': "Magical Wish (4.00) landed the feature handicap in game fashion."

It was a career best performance, with Timeform giving him a rating of 106. He has been 1st or 2nd in 10 of his 20 starts = The perfect syndicate horse! Well done to his owners, thank you team Hannon and to PJ.
Tim says: "It was a decent Saturday at the office for #TeamMPR. I was delighted with Magical Wish, as I said to The Racing Post, he is enjoying his racing and I was also thrilled with the debut run of KEEP RIGHT ON in 2nd at Newmarket, also trained by Richard. It's nice to have 40 winners on the board this year, albeit a curtailed season, but there's plenty of racing to come and we have some nice horses to debut still, as well of course as our National Hunt string, waiting in the wings to start their season off, although DOGON and JEN'S BOY are enjoying their summer season! We have just bought three very nice horses to add to our jumps team, which Tom Palin, our National Hunt manager is excited about."
