WINNER 38 OF 2024: TEST OF LOVE, trained by Sir Mark Prescott and ridden by Luke Morris: The feature 'Daily Charged Up Offers At rhino.bet Handicap' over 1m at Carlisle.

A good winner at Salisbury on the 23rd May, he came here under a 6lb penalty, over one furlong further and put at the head of the market for this feature race at Carlisle.

Held up in the last pair, as the leader went off at a fast pace. Coming to the final 2 furlongs, he made good headway, pulling to the outer. He was going easily as Luke looked over his shoulder after taking the lead, from just over 1f out. Luke took another look behind as he went further clear inside the final furlong, winning very easily by 6 and a 1/2 lengths. His second win within a week!

Timeform rated it as a wide margin career best 97 performance, saying: "Bolted up under a penalty after just 6 days off, appreciating the 1f longer trip in a race run at a strong pace, looking likely to stay further still when required and the type to run up a sequence for shrewd connections; in rear, good headway out wide over 2f out, led over 1f out, drew clear, won easily; will go on improving and is sure to be of interest again."

WINNER 39 OF 2024: LEXINGTON KNIGHT, trained by Richard Hannon and ridden by Joe Leavy (-3): The 'Weston Park Cancer Support On 01145533330 Handicap' over 1m 4f at Doncaster.

Back at a track he loves, for the final race on the card at Doncaster, he always stands out in the paddock, as he is a big imposing chestnut. who carries himself with a bit of a swagger!

Prominent from the off, he led briefly and then tracked the leader, settling just in behind. As they passed halfway, he sat a little closer and was pushed along for an effort over 2f out in the home straight. There was a prolonged dual and he took the lead inside the final furlong and kept on towards the finish, to win by 3/4 of a length.

There was no post race coverage on At The Races, but here he is returning to the winners enclosure, with Joe's feedback included (amongst owners cheering!):

Timeform rated it as a good 86 performance, commenting: "Had bumped into an unexposed one last time and went one better to get off the mark for the season, his good-value claimer taking it easy late on; prominent, driven under 3f out, led entering final 1f, merely pushed out, better placed than most."

Syndicate manager Tim says: "That was a good ride from Joe there, with the horse responding well in the final furlong to battle to the front. Congratulations to his owners on his 7th career win - he really likes Doncaster. That was his sixth run at the track, with two wins, two 2nd's and a 3rd!

We are now well ahead of any other syndicate for winners and prize money won this year and we head to the pinnacle of racing today at Epsom. Our owners of 6 horses have their best outfits at the ready and will be there to enjoy the spectacle of The Derby, whilst also having runners with chances in the two 5f 'Dash' races on the supporting card."
