Dogon has his day!

Winner 34 of the year: DOGON, trained by Paul Nicholls and ridden by Harry Cobden: The Southwell Golf Club Handicap Chase, over 2 miles at Southwell. 

Not a bad afternoon over the jumps at Southwell yesterday, with our 2 runners! We were honoured to sponsor the first race, named The Middleham Park Racing Novices' Handicap Chase and thank ARC very much for the opportunity to do so. JEN'S BOY was making his chase debut for Nicky Henderson, with Nico in the saddle and ran a great race to take 2nd, giving a stone to the winner too!

Then in the next race on the card, DOGON and Harry Cobden went one better! He was always prominent, leading and then travelling strongly in 2nd. He had his ears pricked throughout the race and looked to be really enjoying his jumping. He was going best of the field 3 out and when Harry gave a shake of the reins he went clear, to win comfortably by just over 3 lengths.

Syndicate manager Tom says "I'm thrilled for his owners. We have found the key to him - don't disappoint him, let him stride on at his own pace and wow did that work nicely. Paul and I can now set him up for a nice summer campaign! Both sets of owners who were in attendance were delighted and have a fun season ahead with both their chasers. Well done everyone."
