Back to back victories

Winner 14 of 2025: JUKEBOX FURY, trained by Nicky Henderson - OBE and ridden by James Bowen. The ‘Racingtv.com Handicap Hurdle’ over 3m at Wetherby.

Just under 4 weeks ago, JUKEBOX FURY, won in determined style under James Bowen at Doncaster, stepping up in trip for the first time, on a galloping track we knew would suit our gelding. Fast forward 27 days and another very suitable option was found at Wetherby over the same distance. It was a beautiful and sunny but cold March afternoon with plenty of owners in attendance, to watch our 6-year-old ping every obstacle under a positive James Bowen. The pair disputed an early lead in the 3-mile contest, and turning for home, much of the field started to weaken, whilst our gelding was still travelling strongly and taking another huge leap over the last hurdle to win by an impressive 4 ½ lengths. Still learning his trade, there is likely more to come after such an eye-catching victory.

Only few shares remaining in our exciting and lightly raced 6-year-old! A horse certainly on the up - Don't miss out: https://www.middlehamparkracing.net/horses/view,jukebox-fury_1459.htm

Timeform rated his back to back victory with a 102+, saying: "Took the eye and followed up from Doncaster, form which had already been boosted by the runner-up; disputed lead, jumped on second, shaken up early in straight, tackled 3 out, not fluent there, asserted from next, comfortably; a hat-trick beckons and, if his pedigree and physique are anything to go by, he should make an even better chaser further down the line."

James Bowen: "Well done to his owners. Another wonderful victory by your horse. I was very taken by his performance, he really loves his jumping and just got a great attitude to go with it. He is going to make a lovley chaser in time."

Read what our delighted Syndicate Manager Tom had to say this morning: "Congratulations on another fantastic victory from your fella at Wetherby yesterday, the penny has certainly dropped with him now and he’s proving himself a thorough stayer. Another lovely, front running ride from James, making use of that stamina that he has. He isn’t the fastest but he gallops all day. His jumping has really slickened up with the more positive tactics hasn’t it? There was the only one he got wrong in the home straight but other than that it was very much perfect and that’s obviously exciting, knowing he has the size to go chasing further down the road."
