Burnt Sugar has been nominated at the ROA Awards
Sat 17 Nov 2018
After our Mark Johnston trained MARIE'S DIAMOND was short listed in the Two-Year-Old Colt category at the prestigious Cartier Racing Awards this week, BURNT SUGAR has been nominated at the ROA (Racehorse Owners Association) annual awards in the 'Flat Special Achievement' category. See all the horses nominated in the gallery.
His nomination is for his two valuable Class 2 Saturday handicap wins within two weeks: The Bunbury Cup at Newmarket and The Gigaset International Stakes at Ascot (pictured). He has been a revelation since we bought him at the Horses-In-Training sale (rated 93) and sent him to Roger and his owners have had a ball-even getting to go to ParisLongchamp with him on Arc day. He is now rated 104 and has amassed over £165,000 of prize money this year alone!
The 2018 ROA 37th Horseracing Awards will be held on Thursday, December 6 2018. The glittering ceremony in London will pay homage to the outstanding equine performers of 2018. Voting is now open for ROA members and details can be seen here: https://www.roa.co.uk/en/events/roa-event-galleries/2017-event-gallery/roa-awards.cfm
We now have 8 horses in training with Roger and have added three recent H-I-T recruits in Dommersen, Harome and Watheer. See all our Roger Fell string, including Dommersen and Watheer with share opportunities, here: https://bit.ly/2Q0ixOQ
