A double yesterday takes us to 951 winners overall

VENTURA KNIGHT brought up our 950th winner yesterday, with his 21/2 length win in the feature race at Hamilton. He picked up £18,675 for his win, which was the sixth of his career-he certainly knows how to put his head down and win races!

TIMOSHENKO made his 3 year old debut at Chepstow and was upped in trip to 1m 4f for the first time. He was given a great ride by Luke Morris to be prominent throughout and just shaken up 2 furlongs out to pull clear. Still showing a little greeness, he just thrilled his owners who have kept the faith with him. We bought this son of Archipenko as a typical Sir Mark Prescott long term prospect, so we weren't surprised that he wasn't able to show his ability over inadequate distances at 2 and so we are delighted that he came out and showed us what he could do over a trip.

The plan now would be to step him up again; he is a big gelding and Sir Mark thinks he has the ability to stay further.

We have a similar profile 2 year old with Sir Mark by Pastorius, named BUCKMAN TAVERN, who is in the same mould and he couldn't be with a better trainer for such a programme! (There's 10% of shares remaining in him at the moment.)
