Storm The Dug
Race entries
Purchased at the Tattersalls Guineas Breeze Up Sale, this colt is by WOODED and we are delighted to welcome LUCINDA RUSSELL, to our team of trainers.
Watch his walk and profile video, here:
We think you’d struggle to find a more visually impressive breeze than the one put in by our Wooded colt, he’s goes down the track no nonsense, straight as a die, simply being held together by his pilot before being sent about his business as he meets the rising ground a breeze that’s reflected in his breeze up time – He’s making up ground hand over fist as the breeze develops, compared with other in the 200+ cohort. Super strong through the line, he’s flying at the end.
He’s a good size and nicely in proportion. He has no physical issues, he flew the vetting process no problem and he’s ready to crack on with being out of a black type producing, Holy Roman Emperor mare and is by the Prix de L’Abbaye winner WOODED, by Wootton Bassett, no less.
Watch his breeze video, here:
He heads north under the Flat arm of the Lucinda Russell training team, headed by Steven Kelly in the picturesque Kinross, Scotland and we can’t wait to see the entries going in for Ayr, Hamilton or Musselburgh before too long.
An exciting recruit, secured for a very sensible 35,000gns at the recent Guineas Breeze Up sale, where we unearthed the Group 1 winning The Platinum Queen for 57,000gns in 2022.
It’s a proven haven for winners and classy winners too; so let’s hope this fabulous colt can add to the sale’s, and our, success roster.
