Yousini makes it 2 from 2
Sat 09 Jun 2018
After his win on debut at Hamilton on May 18th, there were a few options in mind for YOUSINI, but the inexperience he showed in running had us place him in yesterdays race under a penalty rather than run at Beverley today and the plan worked out. Just! It was a close finish, but his class shone through under a super Tom Eaves ride and he remains unbeaten. His trainer Kevin Ryan has written a super review on his website here: http://www.kevinryanracing.com/latest-news/close-but-yousini-keeps-his-100-record/
Bred for a mile in time, he will go up in trip now and has an entry in the Group 2 Railway Stakes at The Curragh on Irish Derby weekend. A race we won in 2014 with Kool Kompany and we will look for other options too, perhaps a trip to France could be on the cards....!
We can report that he is fine this morning and his owners have some more excitement ahead with him that's for sure. Congratulations to them, looking very happy in the photo included! Watch the race here: http://www.thejockeyclub.co.uk/video/20180608/2788351/16660905
Our other runner yesterday, ran a good race at Brighton to take 2nd. REVICH, trained by Richard Spencer, who was in attendance, just got a little unbalanced on the undulations of the track, but ran on well at the end and was closing on the winner with every stride, to take 2nd. Richard was very pleased and said he showed "yet more improvement, but will need to go up to 6f next time".
So our 2yo stats are now 7 race wins from 5 horses, with Yousini and the Richard Fahey trained Ninetythreetwenty dual winning, unbeaten colts. Exciting times!
