What a taking debut from the stunning son of Inns of Court, who took it all in his stride prior to the race and very much caught the eye in the paddock.
After a sharp start, he travelled strongly throughout the race, was ridden briefly a furlong from home, before he powered clear to win in fantastic style by 2 3/4 lengths. The Strikin Viking very much lived up to his name, striking impressively first time out.
Timeform rated his impressive win with a t97 rating, saying: "Created a fine impression first time out, well clued up and thumping his rivals from the front; soon led, travelled powerfully, quickened clear over 1f out, ridden out; he's sure to progress and make his mark in better company."

He is seen as a potential Gimcrack Stakes hope by trainer Kevin Ryan, who said: "I thought he was a very good horse. You might see him back here in August but we’ll be doing something beforehand.”"
