Ventura Knights win caps a great Saturday

Not a bad day at the MPR office yesterday. We had 4 runners which produced a winner, two 2nd's and a 3rd!
VENTURA KNIGHT was our 22nd winner of the year at Doncaster; a course he clearly likes, having won there before. This was his fifth career win and capped a superb day for the Mark Johnston stable, who had four winners. Well done to the team and to his owners, who collected a rather impressive trophy and lots of champagne on the winners' podium with Charlie Johnston and jockey PJ McDonald.
WAARIF took a nice 2nd at Thirsk for David O'Meara and LEXINGTON TIMES finished a quite jaw dropping 2nd at Doncaster for Ruth Carr (you have to watch it to believe it.) We have described him this morning as "a bit of a monkey"!
MARIE'S DIAMOND ran a great race to take 3rd in the hot 2yo Conditions race at Newbury and Silvestre De Sousa said after the race that there's more to come from the son of Footstepsinthesand to ourselves and Mark Johnston.
Mike and Sarah have had a grand day catching up with lots of owners and we are delighted to have now passed £200,000 of prize money this year.
