WINNER 57 OF 2021: KAYFAST WARRIOR, trained by Tom Dascombe and ridden by Kieran Schofield (3): 'The Casumo Bet 10 Get 10 Apprentice Handicap' over 1m at Sandown.
He began his 2021 3-year-old campaign off a mark of 52 in May and has since racked up results of 22311112 - just being denied a 5-timer last time out. With Kieran back on board, he knows him so well that he just allowed him to drop in behind the leader. At the 2 pole, as all the other jockeys began to get to work, he was still quiet in the saddle as Kayfast was travelling smoothly. He asked him to quicken away, which he did, pulling clear in the final furlong, to win comfortably by 6 lengths - his biggest winning distance, so far!!
His win brought up an across the card double for #TeamMPR, our 10th of the year.

Timeform awarded him a career best rating of 91, saying: "Resumed winning ways with yet another improved effort after just 5 days off, relishing the return to more testing conditions, the failure of his rivals to handle the going also no doubt contributing to such a wide margin of victory; prominent, travelled strongly, led 2f out, kept going well.”
Kieran said in his Racing TV interview: "He takes his racing so well and he has certainly been good to me. He's the perfect horse; winning on the turf and the all-weather, you can ride him how you want and he relishes it.”

Syndicate manager Tom says: "I know when managing race horses you shouldn't have a favourite, but this guy is pretty much up there at the moment! That was his most impressive performance to date and he is just thriving, getting better and better. He has won that off a mark of 76 now, against a couple of last time out winners. We've come a long way this season and who knows how far he can continue to go. I'm running out of superlatives about him now when updating his owners!
