Winner 23 of 2025: ZIGGY’S MISSILE, trained by Robert Cowell and ridden by Tom Marquand. ‘Weekend Winners On Sky Sports Racing Handicap’ over 5f at Southwell.
It’s back-to-back wins for our son of Blue Point, who has now won 3 races from 5 runs over 5f at Southwell. An incredible strike rate for our 4-year-old.
It was a beautiful, spring afternoon at Southwell, with over 40 owners in attendance, who enjoyed a fantastic day out. He pinged the starting stalls with Tom Marquand onboard, virtually making all, and travelling strongly into the final furlong before responding well under pressure to follow up his Nottingham victory. Another brilliant victory for our progressing and improving sprinter.

Tom Marquand was very complimentary about Ziggy's Missile: "To be honest, none of the others were quite fast enough to give us a lead into the race. He had to do it the hard way, but he did it well, didn't he. He was very tough in the final hundred yards and stuck his neck out for me. It was a very good performance."
Timeform rated his victory with a t96.
Winner 24 of 2025: PRINCE OF PILLO, trained by Richard Fahey and ridden by Oisin Orr. ‘Free Tips Daily On attheraces.com Handicap’ over 6f at Southwell.
Prince of Pillo settled nicely into midfield, from stall one, where he found himself in a lovely spot and rhythm. Making swift progress when approaching the home straight, he stayed on relentlessly under a strong Oisin Orr drive to win readily by a neck in a three-way thriller. We were only 3/4 length away from an across the card treble, with DIAMONT KATIE finishing a very close 2nd at Wetherby.

A delighted Oisin Orr spoke to our owners after the race: "We jumped a touch slow, but we went a strong, honest gallop which really suited him. He relaxed nicely in the first half of the race, but jumped right back into the bridle when I gave him a squeeze turning for home, and I knew we were always going to get there. He dug deep for me, and really wanted it. Great to get his head back in front, and give Middleham Park Racing a double on the day."
Timeform rated his 5th victory with a t99: "Has blown hot and cold this winter, which obviously needs bearing in mind for next time, but this was clearly one of this season's better races as he resumed winning ways by a narrow margin; held up, headway halfway, ridden under 2f out, challenged over 1f out, edged ahead late on."
Syndicate Manager Tom Palin this morning: "Congratulations to his owners, on yet another fantastic perfomance, and great victory. The race planned out perfect for him, didn't it. Strong pace really suited him and he settled well in the hands of Oisin Orr. I loved the way he travelled into the race, it was very eye catching I thought. Once he hit the front, you were never really concerned and he put the race to bed in close, but good style. Again, very well done everyone who kept the faith in him."
