Oleg wins on his MPR debut

We purchased OLEG from France in January and yesterday's first start under rules in our colours was the perfect one! He was our first winner with his trainer Paul Nicholls also and we thank Paul, Harry and the team at Ditcheat for getting him off the mark at the first time of asking.

The two market leaders pulled away from the rest of the field, putting 12 lengths between them and the third horse, with Harry Cobden driving Oleg out to the line. Our national hunt manager Tom made the journey up to Kelso to watch him and meet owners. He reported that Oleg is a lovely stamp of a horse who may appreciate a bit further and in time take to chasing.

The rest of our team had been at Richard Hannon's yard with 150 owners and managed to make it to The Hungerford Arms to watch the race. One of Oleg's owners was in the group so we shouted him home and a big cheer went up!

We congratulate his owners, especially those for whom it was their first ever winner. Well done everyone.
