Nicky Henderson Owners Stable Visit Review
Tue 20 Feb 2018
A fine morning was had at Seven Barrows on Sunday, as a large group of our owners and prospective owners gathered to see our string. We watched our two unraced four year olds work on the gallops, in the company of Premier Bond, Duke Debarry and Du Destin.
You can see their video here: https://youtu.be/icO4Sw-STw4 and read the updates from our National Hunt manager Tom on their respective pages. Both are looking great at the moment as you can also see from the photos of them that we have added. Their pages can be seen here: http://www.middlehamparkracing.net/buy-shares.htm?search=true&trainer=2&shares=y&sort=name
In the photo gallery you can also see an image of Nicky back in the yard talking to us about Divine Spear and the hopes for Cheltenham, which of course is very exciting for his owners! Today is the handicap entry stage fot The Festival and Tom has been keeping his owners updated on the race options and plans. Keep an eye on our Twitter feed for up to date news on that front!
Nicky Henderson held a Cheltenham Festival press day at Seven Barrows today and we are rather pleased that when asked about the chances of the various entries he has, he said: "Those two in the Close Brothers Novices’ Chase – DIVINE SPEAR and Rather Be – would have nice chances."
Matt Brocklebank who wrote the article for Sporting Life (http://sportinglife.com/racing/news/nicky-henderson:-festival-clues/143249) published his 'Festival Clues':
Festival banker - ALTIOR, Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase
Best long-term prospect - SANTINI, Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle
Dark horse - DIVINE SPEAR, Close Brothers Novices' Handicap Chase
COME ON!!
