Winner 68 of 2024: LEXINGTON BELLE, trained by Alice Haynes and ridden by Kieran O’Neill: Take A Lucky Dip At BetVictor Fillies' Handicap over 7f at Newbury.

Fair to say, it wasn’t the most pleasant day at Newbury Racecourse. There was plenty of rain about. But our now 4-times-winner Lexington Belle, nor our owners did mind the conditions they were presented with. She jumped well and disputed the lead right after the start, which allowed Kieran O’Neill to dictate from the front. The pair kicked clear 2-furlongs from home, and Belle was not for catching. An impressive victory by the filly and a perfectly timed ride by the jockey. This was the 4^th career success for our likeable daughter of Belardo.

"Congratulations again with Lexington Belle, and it’s great to get her back in the winners’ enclosure as a three-year-old. She relished the - biblical! - rain leading into the race and suggested that in her conditions where she can be ridden positively she can still be on the cusp of further black type abroad."
