'Just Dandy' from Ventura Diamond!
Wed 14 Oct 2020
OUR 59th WINNER OF 2020: VENTURA DIAMOND, trained by Richard Fahey and ridden by Silvestre De Sousa: 'The Don Muggeridge Memorial Fillies' Conditions Stakes' over 6f at Leicester.
The Racing TV race preview questioned why she was favourite, as she was 'the lowest rated' in the race, Well 10 minutes later, she was cruising over the line, 3 1/4 lengths ahead of the other fillies!
The commentator went on to say that it was "a performance of some authority" as she made all the running - a typical SDS ride! As the second horse came to her, she kept on strongly, to win going away, as you can see below:

Syndicate manager Tom says: "She really handled the ground again and the positive tactics seem to work the oracle. She was comfortably the best horse on the day and only looked briefly troubled when the James Tate horse came onto our heels but we soon saw her off. SDS was impressed with her and thought that she had a nice attitude."
Winning a second time this season for her owners, after her Maiden victory at the Qatar Goodwood Festival, she is a lovely big, determined and gutsy 2yo daughter of Dandy Man, who should have a nice 3 year old career ahead of her.
Well done everyone and thank you Silvestre for the kind words about her and to Richard and team Musley Bank for their continuous hard work at home.
We really are big fans of Dandy Man progeny and are excited to have bought two yearlings by him to race next year. A colt with Karl Burke and a filly with Richard Hannon. See their share details here: DANDY MAN YEARLINGS
