Duke Debarry is winner number 12 of the year

It's always nice when a plan comes together! Our National Hunt manager Tom has been tirelessly searching for the right races for Duke Debarry and a few entries have come and gone, after discussions with Mr Henderson. Today's race at Carlisle was selected and Nico de Boinville booked to go there for just the one ride on 'The Duke', which proved well worth it!

Chalked up as favourite, he travelled sweetly in second and when asked to quicken coming into the 2nd last flight, came upsides the leader, hitting the front before the last and passing the post as the winner by 1.5 lengths, staying on nicely.

This was a well deserved win for his loyal owners, having come close at Haydock in December, so well done to them all and those who travelled up to Carlisle will certainly have a happy journey home!
