Buckman Tavern wins at Carlisle and is our 71st winner of the year

Having his third start in two weeks, our 2 year old son of Pastorius showed what he can do when almost making all yesterday. The heavy ground at Carlisle, was not problem for him, as he and Ryan Tate strode on from the start and even though he was just headed 3f out, he rallied to take back the lead and pull just under 2 lengths away. Still showing inexperience, he wandered in the final furlong, but Ryan kept him to the task, reporting afterwards that there was more left in the tank.

He is a colt we have always thought a lot of and whose 3 year old career, over 1m plus would see him playing at home, so to get a win now is a lovely bonus! The victory is a first for a few members of his syndicate and we have been delighted by the messages of excitement received.

Well done everyone-you have a nice horse and in the hands of the Master of Heath House, Sir Mark Prescott, we can all look forward to a 'Timoshenko style' 3 year old campaign
