Impressive Bumper Winner - Graded Chaser in the making, hopefully.
A fantastically well bred half brother to the 140 rated black type performer Eightybarackstreet and the 146 rated chaser Canaly and hailing from the family of JPR One & Champion Court, he’s already a Bumper winner for his former trainer Milton Harris. An £80,000 purchase following his 2nd place in a P2P, he won his Bumper impressively this Spring for Milton Harris, before moving to Olly Murphy’s during the close season. We have the opportunity to buy into the horse, now, ahead of his hurdles debut, expected to be just this side of Christmas - you can see from the video of him in his new surroundings, that Olly has taken quite a shine to him.
His former trainer Milton Harris says “I’m pretty sure he’ll make up into a Graded Chaser and ought to to be Saturday handicapper, over hurdles, along the way. He’ll stay 3m well and will continue to improve as he gains experience.”
He’s settled in brilliantly at Olly’s Stratford Upon Avon yard and Olly has gone on record as saying about him “he’s a big staying chaser in the making - there’s no doubt he’ll win his races over hurdles this season, before progressing over fences in due course, he looks a lovely horse for the future.”
He’s virtually instant action - ready to run, this side of Christmas, so the future looks bright.
Training Update: Olly is really happy with the horse: "He feels and looks great, I can see him on the track just in the New Year" Declared to run at Wincanton 16th of January
Watch the closing stages of his rather impressive victory in the bumper back in January below:
