Copshill Lad
Race entries
Matthew Prior, Head Of Tattersalls Cheltenham Sales said; “The Cheltenham February Sale, the source of such stars as the Grade 1 winners Envoi Allen, Asterion Forlonge and Ferny Hollow, is always much anticipated, given this is traditionally the first sale of the season to offer four-year-old Irish pointers.”
'Copshill Lad, a son of the Racing Post Trophy and St Leger winner KINGSTON HILL, was the only runner in the Kirkistown maiden P2P on February 12th, capable of testing the potentially high class Broughshane. He broke from the pack at the second last to mount a challenge and the time of the race was such that this confirms it was a top-level effort. It was sixteen seconds faster than the average time on the day and this fellow was well clear of his rivals with a Colin Bowe Soldier Of Fortune fifteen lengths behind in third. He looks a tough sort to provide plenty of entertainment in the NH sphere.'
Training update: Switched to the up-and-coming yard of Harry Durham, he won on stable debut last month. He stays 3 miles well and we’ve yet to jump a fence in public - his runs, to date, have been only over hurdles. A 3m P2P runner-up before we bought him, we can’t wait to see him over fences, he’s all over a Chaser in the making.
Watch his P2P here:
He hails from the famous Monbeg Stables of C Doyle, who have sold the likes of Monbeg Dude, Holywell, Topofthegame, Bravemansgame and Monkfish to name but a few!
