Yet another double - in fact our 13th of the year...

We joked yesterday morning at MPR HQ that this two winners a day form could not continue, having had 12 this year, as well as a treble, but how wrong we were! There was some pressure on JOE'S SPIRIT, as he was heading back to Chelmsford where he had won previously for Michael Bell, but this time he had an extra furlong. The plan was to take the lead, leave it to SIlvestre to get the fractions right and stay in front to the winning post...and the plan went perfectly, in fact he pulled 2 lengths clear! He is a bonny colt, who has a great attitude and is adored by his owners, having been named after the son of one of the owners, who was at the course, wearing his specially made sweat top with a photo of Joe's Spirit on it (see the photo included). He was also interviewed by Derek Thompson which he loved too!
LEXINGTON SKY headed to Nottingham yesterday on the back of a disappointing run on Saturday, when the ground was good. She had heavy ground to compete on yesterday, but being by Iffraaj, coped superbly, passing the whole field and winning by over 2 lengths under Tony Hamilton. Roger Fell is having a great season, so well done to the whole team on her win.
SHARES ARE AVAILABLE IN LEXINGTON SKY-see the 'Buy Shares' tab...
Well done to all owners. It's quite satisfying when you read the Racing Post race analysis and see that both horses had the word "COMFORTABLY" in their winning comments!
