Ventura Destiny wins at Newcastle
Sat 26 Oct 2019
Yesterday's super ride from Ben Sanderson, saw VENTURA DESTINY power on through the field to win the 7 furlong nursery handicap at Newcastle for Keith Dalgleish. He held the daughter of Outstrip up in the centre of the field, making eye catching headway 2 furlongs out, Ben pushed her to lead inside inside the final furlong and they were soon clear to win by a marvellous 2 and a quarter lengths.
The weather was not the best as umbrellas and hoods were the order of the evening, but a winner makes up for that! There were double celebrations as she was Keith's 100th winner of the year. Very well done to team Belstane and to all her owners. See the official photos here: https://www.grossick.co.uk/v/photos/80532khg/C351120004/x3-ventura-destiny.
Quite a couple of days for some of our lucky owners, who are celebrating with two winners! We received these messages from them today...
Sam who has shares in both Clay Regazzoni and Ventura Destiny says: "The shared joy with the other MPR owners on a horrid night in Newcastle was something I will never forget. Something that MPR gives you is the realistic opportunity to experience this and to have two winners in two days - well you can’t buy/put a price on that feeling!! The Melbourne Cup is on my bucket list so here's hoping for a great trip to those making the journey, you could say I am a tad jealous! Fingers crossed for Raymond Tusk."
Joy says: "It's been a fantastic couple of days for us as owners. To get two winners in one day is unbelievable with both Duke Debarry and Clay Regazonni running amazing races on Thursday. Then for Cold Stare to finish 3rd at Doncaster yesterday was the icing on the cake. It doesn't get much better than this, thank you so much Middleham Park Racing. A friend of ours Paul, who is in Red Bond text me on Thursday night and said 'it's hard enough picking two winners in one day but to own them......enjoy!".
