Two winners so far this week from Guardia Svizzera and Sweet Celebration
Thu 28 Nov 2019
Great to get to match last years winners total in November! Here, syndicate manager Tom Denham reviews this weeks two winners:
Guardia Svizzera (Roger Fell) - Chelmsford on Monday
He has been on a winnable mark for sometime now, based on his exploits last year. He has always been a bit of a character ever since he arrived at Rogers and you can see that with some of his runs. Paula Muir knows him quite well and has given him a great ride to win on Monday. He has really responded when she has asked him to take that gap on the far rail. It was his 13th attempt to win a race on the all-weather but his first start at Chelmsford, so Guardia Svizzera must have enjoyed the Essex air! All being well he will run again at Wolverhampton next week under a penalty.

Sweet Celebration (Marco Botti) - Kempton on Wednesday
Well that was yet another excellent performance from Sweet Celebration! Having been put up 9lbs for her win last time out, she looks to have taken a real step forward over her last couple of races, but there are still areas she can improve on for next year. Thankfully the margin of victory was not quite as emphatic this time, and she should only be put up the regular 4/5lbs. So she will be starting next year as an 80+ rated filly! I think a lot of credit needs to go to Grace McEntee and Marco for this one. I thought Grace gave her a fabulous ride to say it was the first time she had ridden her in a race, Sweet Celebration wasn't the most straightforward ride she will have in her career. Marco had that race picked out for a while for Sweet Celebration, and it was a great piece of placement. A bit of time off now and I think we could have a really exciting year next year as she has beaten some progressive horses in yesterday's race.

Well done to both sets of owners!
