The turf is nigh!
Tue 20 Mar 2018
As jumps fans 'come down' from a week of thrills at Cheltenham, we move our attention to the turf season on the flat! With the season starting this Saturday at Doncaster, we are looking forward to a day of excitement as 120 of our owners and guests are attending our private box event. We are honoured to have The Royal Box for the day and some of our trainers will be joining us to have a chat about the season ahead.
We have four horses entered over the two day meeting. We were thrilled yesterday when Richard Fahey informed us that the Camacho colt, Cadeau d'Amour is shortlisted amongst his 2 year olds to debut first. He is entered in the traditional curtain raiser for 2 year olds'; the Brocklesby Conditions Stakes over 5f. It is a Plus 10 race too, for which he qualifies. It has been a tricky few weeks weather wise for all trainers-jumps and flat-to get work into their horses on the grass at home, so as long as this week permits grass gallops to be seen under the snow, the horses should be able to get their regimes resumed!
There is just 10% of shares remaining in Cadeau d'Amour (pictured) - you can see his details here: http://www.middlehamparkracing.net/horses/view,cadeau-damour-by-camacho_160.htm. If he isn't declared for the race on Saturday, the fact that he is only one of 20 entered means that he is amongst a small % of 2 year olds able to take up the 5f races coming up.
