Star Of Southwold continues to fund his owners race prize money earnings account..

What a star he is for his owners and his trainer MICK APPLEBY!

He was given a superb ride by Theodore Ladd at Chelmsford in the Optional Claimer, staying on well to win the 1-mile contest.  That's his 4th win of the year and the Mick Appleby Racing team have certainly got him in some incredible form.

After winning this race (and a previous Optional Claimer at Pontefract,) it prompted the Racing TV broadcaster Lydia Hislop on Twitter to quote: "Is anyone else going to play smart in an Optional Claiming Handicap or are Star Of Southwold, @MickApplebyUK and @MprUpdates going to continue to allowed to print money?"

We and his lucky owners certainly don't mind him winning them, it comes from studying the fixture book and efficient race planning from his syndicate manager!
