Plenty of Bounty won by Ventura Mutiny at Musselburgh!
Wed 01 Jul 2020
VENTURA MUTINY, trained by Richard Fahey, in the feature EBF Maiden Stakes, over 7f at Musselburgh.
A lucrative day for our son of Showcasing yesterday. We bought him last year at the prestigious Tattersalls Book 1 Sale and so yesterday he picked up a fantastic extra £25,000 on top of the race prize money! Read their story here: https://www.tattersalls.com/bonus-books/winners/OC1/207
Barry McHugh gave him a perfect ride and from the off, dominated the race by making all. He pulled clear over 2f out and just needed to be pushed out in the final furlong, to win unchallenged, by 41/2 lengths. Barry said after in his post race interview with Racing TV: "He's done that very well, improving with each run. When I pressed the button, he skipped away and he's done it quite nicely."
Syndicate manager Tom Palin says: "We found a good target for him and he's done it emphatically. Barry got the tactics just right and the colt is beginning to show what Richard has been seeing from him at home. He shapes like a horse to look forward to for the remainder of the season. Well done to his owners and thank you for all the lovely messages from you all about his win!"

We end the month with 12 winners since racing was welcomed back and a total of 27 for the year, which we are very pleased about. Ventura Mutiny's race earnings helped our 2020 prize money pass £300,000 too, which is a nice milestone!
Here's to a super July, where we will see owners return to the racecourse to see their horses, which is most welcome, as they have shown immense patience over the last weeks.
