Our team of 2021 2-year-old's is in place!

As we come to the end of the yearling sales season, our team can breathe a sigh of relief from the weeks of careful and extensive catalogue research, inspections, vetting and consultation with our bloodstock agents & trainers. Our team have been to every sale - working alongside our agents and we have purchased 20 yearlings from the following sales: The Goffs Premier, Tattersalls Ascot, The Arqana Deauville Select & October, Tattersalls Ireland, Goffs Orby and the prestigious Tattersalls Book 1 and 2 Sales.

We are delighted to welcome four new trainers to MPR, as Roger Charlton, Clive Cox, Charlie Fellowes and Archie Watson join us for the first time, each with one yearling. We have also just welcomed Robert Cowell and James Ferguson, with two HIT horses purchased at Tattersalls.

Of course, we have our reliable team of existing trainers in place once again also: Michael Bell, Marco Botti, Karl Burke, Keith Dalgleish, Richard Fahey, Richard Hannon, David O'Meara, Hugo Palmer and Mark Johnston will all train next year's 2 year old cohort.

Director Of Racing Tim says: "No stone goes unturned to ensure that these yearlings will represent their owners with distinction on the racecourse in 2021 and we stuck to our principles - only buying when we think there's value. That doesn't just mean cheap; Camelot was 525,000gns and Lily's Angel was £8,000, but, crucially, both represented value. We’ve had an exceptional 2yo season, in what proved to be a curtailed time of things, with 14 2yo wins, including a Group 2 Prix Robert Papin winner, Group 1 runners, Group 3 and listed placed performers and Royal Ascot representatives, no less, which is a fabulous achievement in a very curtailed season. We’ve every reason to believe our 2021, 2yo cohort to prove even better still."
