Lexington Empire storms to victory
Fri 19 Apr 2019
It was very nicely done by jockey Daniel Muscutt and trainer David Lanigan at Chelmsford last evening. LEXINGTON EMPIRE was David's first runner of the season and he won for the fourth time-so it's a big thankyou and well done to the team!
He travelled sweetly and the Racing Post commentary says: "In touch in midfield, went 3rd and travelling strongly over 1f out, soon ridden and readily asserted, hung left but drew well clear inside final furlong, eased towards finish, very easily." He won by 4.5 lengths, so we will see what happens on Tuesday regarding a handicap mark before a definite plan is made.
Congratulations to his owners on a lovely start to his season and after a 204 days break, he did that very well.
He is our 18th winner of 2019 and we are almost at £200k of prize money earned, so we hope to pass that on Saturday!
