Lexington Empire keeps the winners coming!

Winner 47 (and yes our 9th in the last 8 days) was LEXINGTON EMPIRE last evening at Wolverhampton. 

Trainer David Lanigan was trying him in American blinkers-the first time he has worn headgear in a race-and he travelled strongly to the fore throughout. Jockey Stevie Donohoe shook him up to lead well in the final furlong and just needed to ride him out to the line when he pulled over 2 lengths in front.

He has been showing up well at home and it was lovely to see this on the track. He was very unlucky last time out at Lingfield as he got caught up in an incident in the home straight that ruined his chances, so this win was well deserved.
