WINNER 101 OF 2023: HEARITFORTHEBOYS, trained by Nigel Tinkler and ridden by Jack Mitchell: 'The Unibet Horserace Betting Operator of the Year Nursery Handicap,' over 6f at Kempton.

A first start for him at Kempton, on handicap debut, with the market chalking him up as favourite. Drawn centrally in 7, he ducked a little to his left at the start and there was a bit of bumping going on. Settling quickly though, he was prominent in behind the leaders. Coming to the final 2 furlongs and down the centre of the track he took the lead. Challengers were trying to run him down, but ridden inside the final furlong, he kept on to win by 3/4 of a length.

Timeform rated it as a career best p69 performance, saying: "Justified strong support switched to a nursery; prominent, led under pressure over 1f out, driven out; he can't go up much and should go well again.”

Syndicate manager Tim says: "Congratulations to his owners, that was exciting to see and lovely that Nigel was there to share the champagne! We have pounds, shillings and pence in mind with this horse and the plan was to win one or two and then exit. We'll discuss race plans with Nigel and take it from there.”
