Howzer Black wins at Hamilton
Fri 29 Jun 2018
A patient and well timed ride by Rowan Scott last evening, saw him and our Keith Dalgleish trained Howzer Black power to the front, to take the 6f Maiden at Hamilton, by a length. We were very pleased with his performance and he fended off the well touted Richard Fahey horse really strongly. Rowan gave him a really good ride and avoided the temptation of going too early. He still had plenty in the tank at the end and Rowan had trouble pulling him up, so he may well stay further in time.
We have no fixed plan for him next but we did leave him in the Super Sprint – whether that will prove too sharp for him, time will tell but it is an option if we decide to go there.
Well done to his owners and thankyou to Rowan and team Dalgleish.
He is our 10th 2 year old race winner and 34th overall this year, so the aforementioned 2yo stats in our previous news story remain buoyant.
We’re now just one short of 950 winners since we were formed, so will we see this achieved this weekend? Come On!!
