Winner 57 of 2024: HIGH VIOLET, trained by David Loughnane and ridden by Tom Eaves. ‘Kube – Leicester Premier Exhibition Venue Handicap’ over 6f at Leicester.
After two very good efforts over the same trip and in similar class, High Violet built on the good efforts from her previous couple of runs to get her well-deserved first full success at Leicester readily. Dan Muscutt was unable to take his chance and was replaced by Tom Eaves who gave her a great patient ride. After an even break, a few horses did pull themselves to the front, which left us towards the rear of the field. But under a confident Tom Eaves, she was able to comfortably work her way to the front, always doing enough to win by 1 ¾ lengths.

Timeform rated her full success with a 78 saying: "Confirmed recent promise and eked out some improvement to get off the mark in good style; waited with, travelled well, smooth headway halfway, quickened to lead over 1f out, asserted final 100 yds; will continue to give a good account."
