WINNER 5 OF 2024: BLUE YONDER, trained by Richard Fahey and ridden by Mr Eireann Cagney : 'The Find More Big Deals At BetUK Amateur Jockeys' Handicap' over 1m 2f at Lingfield.
A first visit to Lingfield for Blue Yonder, although no stranger to excellent AW form, having won at Newcastle and Wolverhampton previously. Teamed up with leading amateur rider Eireann, they were drawn in 7 of 9.
Getting off to a decent start, he was always prominent, although not able to get close to the rail, but the pace upfront was quick. Managing to slot in over halfway, he was going easily when he took the lead. Shaken up, he went clear over 1f out and pushed out, he kept on well to win by 1 and a 1/4 lengths under hands and heels. He got a nice pat after the line, from Eirann too!

Timeform rated it a career best p84 performance, saying: "Looked better than ever in following up from last time, albeit with a good position, settling this with a turn of foot around the home turn; raced wide early, prominent, travelled well, led before 2f out, quickened clear home turn, ridden out.”
Syndicate manager Tom says: "The race panned out perfectly. The pace slackened and he was able to slot in and Eireann kept him on a good set of fractions - he gave gim a great ride. Well done to his syndicate of owners on his fourth win and that's two on the bounce as well. We have him entered in the Tattersalls H-I-T sale next week, so he could catch a few eyes!"
