Beechwood Ella proves too strong at Ayr
Tue 14 Aug 2018
Our daughter of No Nay Never was having her second start, after being very green on debut. She was a bit slow away again yesterday at Ayr, but they went a very steady pace which allowed her to get handy. She travelled smoothly in the straight and her jockey Tony Hamilton kept hold of her nicely before making her effort. She was a little green when Tony asked her for an effort but she just managed to get her head in front on the line. It looks like there should be more to come as she learns how to race and Timeform have given her a rating of 74 this morning.
Considering all the hype pre race about the $1million dollar filly who went off hot favourite, we're pretty pleased with the performance of our 38,000 Guineas purchase! There were some shares available in her before the race and these were snapped up immediately after, with, yet again, disappointed potential owners deciding to buy too late! There's now just 5% remaining in our War Command colt with Keith and he is ready for race entries to make his debut: http://www.middlehamparkracing.net/horses/view,beechwood-jude-by-war-command-full-and-lease-shares-available_155.htm
Well done to Beechwood Jude's owners.
