Batchelor Boy wins at Wolverhampton

6f Novice Stakes - Wolverhampton, Friday 20th December.

Our Marco Botti trained son of Footstepsinthesand was having his third start. With a good draw on the inside and from breaking well, he strode on to the front of the field. His jockey Daniel Muscutt said after the race that he was happy with the pace and the pair ended up making virtually all. He gave him a shake up a furlong out and he obliged by increasing his pace, so Dan just rode him out to the line - a length ahead of the second horse.

He did it nicely and is a big colt, so we very much look forward to his 3 year old career in the very capable hands of Marco.

The owners in attendance, were interviewed by At The Races, as they all sipped champagne in the winners' suite, which was fun!
