A round up of our flat turf season
Sun 12 Nov 2017
With the flat turf season ending yesterday, we had a look at our stats from the season:
We had 61 winners from our string and 53% of runners won or were placed. The top two trainers were Richard Hannon (20) and Richard Fahey (17) - where we have our two largest strings of course.
Six horses won £10,000 'Plus 10 Bonus' cheques and our only Book 1 purchase from last year, Ventura Royal, duly won her £25,000 'Book 1 Bonus', all contributing nicely to our rolling yearly prize money total, which currently stands at £1,071,416.00.
30 races have been won by our 2 year old's on the turf this year and at the time of writing, there are 8 horses in GB and Ireland that have won 4 races during their 2 year old campaign, Middleham Park syndicates are responsible for three of them (Indomeneo, Lexington Grace and Ventura Knight), which fills us with confidence on our yearling buying choices and makes us the best source of 2 year old syndicate winners this year.
A lot to look forward to though when the turf season returns, as we have a marvellous set of new yearlings-all of which we are currently visiting with their new and prospective owners to see their progress. Today we are with Richard Fahey and next weekend we take a tour of Newmarket, followed the weekend after by a morning in Hambleton with Bryan Smart and Kevin Ryan. The next set of visits will be with Mark Johnston, Karl Burke and Keith Dalgleish (you can see all these dates and details on how to book on the right of this page.)

Of course, we still have the rest of 2017 to add to our current total winners tally of 84. We are very pleased with this year, as we have surpassed our 2016 winners total already by 11!
There's a fair team continuing on the All Weather and of course our jumps team are beginning their season now, so we hope to continue our fine form for the remainder of 2017 and over the winter.
