50 Not Out!
Tue 15 Sep 2020
Yesterday, we were delighted to bring up our 50th winner of the year. These include four #TeamMPR 'doubles' on the day with some great prize money won. Our total race winnings stands at £638,400 so far and we hope that we can add to that with our runners this week at the Ayr Gold Cup meeting!
Some highlights this year include:
VENTURA TORMENTA, winning the Group 2 Prix Robert Papin at Chantilly (main photo)
MARIE'S DIAMOND winning the Listed Paradise Stakes at Newmarket
MAGICAL WISH winning two Class 2 handicaps, with COLD STARE, LEXINGTON DASH and REVICH also taking valuable Class 2 races.
Fiveandtwenty winning 3 times, Batchelor Boy, Double Martini, Lexington Dash, Oleg, Prince Of Eagles, Revich, Ventura Rascal and Ventura Tormenta all winning twice.
Let's not forget the superb 2nd in the ultra competitive Ebor from Glencadam Glory, 3rd in the Group 1 Queen Anne at Royal Ascot from Marie's Diamond and the £25,000 Tattersalls Book 1 Bonus won by Ventura Mutiny.
Here's our gallery of all this year's winners. Congratulations to all their lucky owners and big thanks to our trainers, jockeys and stable staff for all their achievements and hard work.
It's not been an easy year for any of us and with the break from racing, we were all jumping up and down when we got the go-ahead to resume. Steadily things have changed over the last few weeks and racecourses have reintroduced owner hospitality and we have had some great feedback, which we have passed on to the management team of these courses, with our thanks on behalf of our syndicates.
Our owners have been extremely loyal and patient and we thank them sincerely. They are thrilled to be back racing - look where they have been this year....
The Guineas Festival and the July Festival at Newmarket, Royal Ascot, the Epsom Derby Festival, the Dante Festival and Ebor Festivals at York, the King George Festival at Ascot, the St Leger Festival at Doncaster and the glorious week that is the Qatar Goodwood Festival (right) where we were honoured to have a winner, a 2nd and a 3rd!
As autumn arrives, so does the start of the National Hunt season proper and the jumps owners will be raring to go! We have some exciting horses to unleash including the unbeaten and Listed winner Marie's Rock, Red Risk and newcomer Paros, who is already towards the top of the betting already for the Triumph Hurdle at The Cheltenham Festival! (We like a Festival runner - you may have noticed that from this story.)
Then there are all our exciting new recruits - yearlings and 3 year old National Hunt 'store' horses - all recently purchased at the sales. Take a look at them here: New Horse Shares.
Stay safe and enjoy your racing. We hope to welcome you to #TeamMPR if you are yet to be an owner with us and we look forward to adding handsomely to our tally of winners for our owners this year.
