BIOGRAPHY: From the Tattersalls Book 3 sale, this colt is by GOLDEN HORDE and was the 'top lot' of the day. Read the Racing Post story, here: https://www.racingpost.com/bloodstock/sales-reports/hell-be-our-first-horse-with-eve-johnson-houghton-middleham-park-bags-sale-topping-golden-horde-colt-aArrF8X4rNV3/

Tattersalls report on the better sales profiles and this colt was one that deserved column inches. They reported:

"Lot 1919 : the Commonwealth Cup (G1) winner Golden Horde, who was also twice Group 1 placed as a juvenile, has just had this one colt sell at Tattersalls this autumn, and he was bought by Middleham Park Racing for 35,000gns from Jamie Railton.

The colt's dam Habbat Reeh (Mastercraftsman), a half-sister to the stakes winner Boomshckerlacker (Dark Angel), was purchased in 2020 for €11,000 by Paul Nataf. By then she'd had her first foal – by No Nay Never and named Dhabab he was a dual winner at two and was placed second in the Superlative Stakes (G2) and fourth in the Mill Reef Stakes (G2)."

He qualifies for Band C and Band D races which can be a great place to start off any horse’s career, given they eliminate many of the more expensively purchased horses in training, but they’re a great place to initiate a career and we feel sure that he has the physical and genetic wherewithal to compete in nursery and hopefully black type races as his 2yo season 2024, progresses.

On paper he’s a real candidate for the 5f 34yds £250,000 Weatherbys Super Sprint at Newbury in July and his very reasonable median price tag from Golden Horde, if he’s capable of running to a mark in the late 80’s or early 90’s, is ideal for the 6f listed Redcar 2yo Trophy in October.

Watch his walk video, here:

Being a graduate of the Tattersalls Book 3 catalogue we have the option of targeting him at the 2 Sales races attached to said sale, both held over the final 6f Rowley Mile course next August and October with added values of £100,000 & £150,000 respectively.

At the end of the day, he’s by a Group 1 Commonwealth Cup winner out of a mare who has already produced, from her first 2 foals, a Group 2 2yo performer who is still improving at the age of 4, having been touched off only recently, in a Grade 2 at Woodbine.

He won't be an early 5f April type - he looks more 6f in May/June.
